05.16.07 - We've experienced some technical difficulties, but now the 2099 UnderGround Revised is back!

Check out 2099UGR Spotlight #2, in which Jason McDonald and David Ellis discuss Moon Knight 2099UGR #1 of 5! What went into the creation of the futuristic Moon Knight? How has Jason McDonald's writing changed since that inaugural issue? And will he and David Ellis ever stop trading barbs?

Next on the agenda is Spider-Man 2099UGR #5, the final issue written by the creative team of Jason McDonald and David Ellis (though the latter will remain with the title as solo writer). All Miguel O'Hara wants to do is return to 2100 where he belongs, but the denizens of 2211 aren't going to make it easy for him! After all, his opposition consists of countless warriors of the Goblin tribe, their leader Hobgoblin 2211, and a traitor within the Spider Society.

As for the announcement, in light of the positive response to January's 2211UGR Special we've greenlighted a followup anthology series called 2211UGR Unlimited. While a few writers are already interested in contributing stories for it, we could always use more contributors! Following a similar format as 2099UGR Unlimited (which is also looking for new submissions), each issue will showcase a different story about the this future era and its denizens. 02.20.07 - We've launched a new series!

2099UGR Spotlight is a look back at 2099UGR issues, inspired by DVD commentary tracks and taking the form of Instant-Messenger-based chat transcripts. Insights into the creation of that issue are revealed by the writer(s) involved.

In Issue #1, David Ellis and Jason McDonald discuss Fantastic Four 2099UGR #1 of 4, revealing which comic book series inspired the series' writing, as well as the pair's first editorial argument.

02.17.07 - One nice thing about Youtube is that it allows me to try something different with promo material, so I made in Windows Movie Maker what amounts to an TV show opening theme for the Spider-Man 2099UGR series. For background music, I used the theme from the "Spider-Man Unlimited" animated series.

Whatcha think? Next on the list will be an opening for Fantastic Four 2099UGR...
